1. The Avengers (M)

Based on the Marvel superhero team, directed by fanboy favourite Joss Whedon (Serenity, Firefly). This brings together the casts of Marvel's superhero movie franchises: Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo). When an enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), Director of the international peacekeeping agency known as SHIELD, finds himself in need of a team of the world's superheroes to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Based on Marvel's comic book series The Avengers, first published in 1963 and a comics institution ever since.
2. New ReleaseDark Shadows (M)

A gothic-horror tale centering on the life of vampire Barnabas Collins and his run-ins with various monsters, witches, werewolves and ghosts. Based on the cult TV series. Stars Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer and Eva Green.
3. New ReleaseThe Five Year Engagement (MA)

A comedy that charts the ups and downs of an engaged couple's relationship. Stars Jason Segel, Emily Blunt and Chris Pratt.
4. The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (PG)

British retirees travel to India to take up residence in what they believe is a newly restored hotel. Less luxurious than its advertisements, the Marigold Hotel nevertheless slowly begins to charm in unexpected ways.
5. New ReleaseSafe (2012) (MA)

In this new action/thriller from producer Lawrence Bender (the man behind KILL BILL, PULP FICTION and RESERVOIR DOGS), Statham plays Luke Wright, an ex-special forces operative who decides to save a young Chinese girl. The girl, Mei, is a mathematical genius who has memorised the combination to a safe that contains thirty million dollars. Once word gets out that Mei is the only person who knows the safe's combination, everyone in the criminal underworld - including mobsters, corrupt New York Cops and even Mei's own family - try to capture her. It's up to Luke, her only protector, to keep her alive and keep her safe.
6. The Lucky One (M)

On his third tour of duty in Iraq, a Marine (Efron) avoids a fatal incident after finding a mysterious photograph of a woman he's never met. Crediting the photo for keeping him alive, he returns home and travels to North Carolina with the hope of meeting her.
7. Salmon Fishing In The Yemen (M)

From the director of The Cider House Rules and the writer of Slumdog Millionaire comes this political-spinning drama about Fred (Ewan McGregor), a government fisheries scientist asked to introduce British salmon to the Wadis of the Temen by an enthusiastic Arab. Based on the novel by Paul Torday. When the Sheik expresses how fly-fishing draws him closer to God, Fred feels compelled to grant his wish and attempts to bring the sport to the desert, despite the absurdity and implausibility of the concept. Enticed by the Sheik's gorgeous legal representative (Emily Blunt), the team rise to the challenge, embarking on a journey of faith, love and fish.
8. The Hunger Games (M)

Sci-fi set in a post-apocalyptic America that sees a young woman (Jennifer Lawrence from Winter's Bone) being drafted into the 'Hunger Games', a brutal, fight-to-the-death, reality TV show. Based on Suzanne Collins' young adult novels, from the director of Pleasantville. In the face of drought, fire and famine America has crumbled and been replaced by the Capitol, a regime that controls the country with brutal force. Each year, two residents from twelve districts are selected and forced to compete in 'The Hunger Games': a televised, to-the-death event which all citizens are forced to watch. When Katniss Everdeen's (Lawrence) younger sister is "selected" to participate, Katniss volunteers to take her place, pitting herself against bigger, stronger competitors.

An elite team of Navy SEALs embark on a covert mission to recover a kidnapped CIA agent.
10. Wish You Were Here (MA)

Four friends lose themselves in a carefree South-East Asian holiday. Only three come back. Dave and Alice return home to their young family desperate for answers about Jeremy's mysterious disappearance. When Alice's sister Steph returns not long after, a nasty secret is revealed about the night her boyfriend went missing. But it is only the first of many. Who amongst them knows what happened on that fateful night when they were dancing under a full moon in Cambodia?
